When Bocchan arrives at Matsuyama, he first takes a train. He comments "This train looks like a matchbox. I must get off just after five-minute rolling."

Dogo Spas

Bocchan got satisfied with Dogo spas. He used to visited a spa with towel and was happy in swimming in a bath which was about 25 square meters after checking that there was no other people. "Never Swim in Bath!!" was posted at last.

Turner Island

Bocchan goes fishing led by "Red Shirt" the head teacher and "Nodaiko" under control of him. Red Shirt watches pine trees on a small island and comments "It's like an art of Turner in England." that cannot be understood by Bocchan.

Gudabutsuan

Gudabutsuan

Shiki Masaoka, a haiku artist, once lived in the private student dormitory of Soseki who was a teacher in Matsuyama Highschool. Shiki who had been a war correspondent in the Sino-Japanese War came home for medical care. This geshuku house is called "Gudabutsuan" from the nickname of Soseki.
