Sango (Coral)
Sango (coral) has long been associated with Tosa as a
special local product of Kochi. Coral products from
Kochi prefecture account for about 80% of the whole
domestic market; they are also exported overseas. The coral broach you
may be wearing now could well be a product of Kochi prefecture.
