	What's special about living in Kyoto? Ichii...There are many universities, so there is a large number of students. It's the city of students. It's very convenient and pleasant for a student to live here. Ogata...Every now and then I realize that I am in Japan's capital city of ancient times. For you, what is Kyoto? Ichii...Beforehand, when I thought of Kyoto, the image of temples was fixed in my mind. However, when I started to live here, I realized that Kyoto is much more than that. The outside perception of Kyoto is in fact different from reality in that Kyoto has the same resources of any other city. But the historic buildings become a part of your life... Ogata...An open-air museum of which one never tires. Every reason to live can be found in Kyoto. What do you like about Kyoto? Ichii...The fact that the mountains are so close. My home is in the plains of Niigata, and the mountains are difficult to see. I was surprised to see mountainous trees in Shijo in downtown Kyoto. Ogata...I like the calm and quiet places; the temples, the mountains, verandas, closets and the river.
