Indigo Print Group "Renga"
(Headed by Akiko Kaburagi)
A 60-year old wood block print (called Aizukata) was recently discovered
in the warehouse of a wealthy merchant and was donated to the city.
This discovery has greatly benefited the local indigo print industry and
the local research group called "Renga" (brick) headed by Akiko Kaburagi.
These wood block prints are used as designs on cloth dyed in indigo
to make yukata (Japanese nightgowns).
