TMI Communications

TMI is also providing a digital camera, satellite time and ongoing technical and organizational support to the team members throughout the expedition.

AstroPower
AstroPower has designed two photovoltaic units which will power the expedition’s remote satellite communications terminal and the personal computer, thereby enabling the expedition team to analyze medical data as it is collected during their ascent and to communicate and send data from the remote polar-like Logan environment.

AstroPower Canada produces a general applications product line of photovoltaic modules. This product line is based on industry-standard design specifications. The package uses durable, rugged materials and has been qualified for greater than a 20 year lifetime. Larger, higher-power modules are under development, specifically for use in large, high voltage systems.

Magellan will supply the expedition with global positioning systems receivers, which will allow the expedition team to pinpoint their location, using global positioning satellites, throughout their ascent of Mount Logan.
