  Kamjabau (Potato Province, a nickname of Kangwon)

The Yongyang tolsotpap (nutritious dish of steamed rice served in a hot stone bowl with meat and vegetables) is the pride of Kamjabau.
Referring to the full course Korean meal prepared in a style native to Kangwon-do, Yongyang tolsotpap is comprised of seasoned vegetables
naturally grown in Kangwon-do mountains, a dish of wild brown seaweed, Ch'odang tubu (bean curd made using ocean water from Ch'odang, Kangwon-do),
more than three kinds of chon (pancakes), various kimch'i (pickled hot cabbage), saengson kui (broiled fish), toenjangtchigye (bean paste stew garnished with vegetables and sometimes seafood or meat).
It is a very popular place for wide-ranging customers, whether old or young, foreigners and locals alike.

  P'yongando Obuja

The owner of the restaurant is from P'yongando, now in North Korean territory, which is famous for delicious and unique native dishes.
Among them, P'yongyang mandu (dumplings) has been readily recognized by gourmets. You can enjoy other specialties, including chaengban (vegetables, noodles, and strips of beef beautifully arranged on a large ceramic platter), onban (steamed rice in a warm broth pot), or noktu chijim (mung bean pancake) while enjoying the homey and warm atmosphere of the restaurant.

  Chonju Shiktang

A regional full course Korean meal served at Chonju Shiktang(restaurant) includes over 30 side dishes.
Its other specialty, Toenjangtchigye, is made by boiling crabs, thin-shelled clams, p'yogo mushrooms, wild rocambole,and green peppers in an earthenware bowl. Tolsot pibimbap, another specialty of Chonju Shiktang, is a perfect stimulus for a flagging appetite, with its offering of various vegetables with steamed rice served in a hot stone bowl.
Chonju Shiktang's secret for its popular todok kui (broiled Codonopsis lanceolata) is its the freshness of its major ingredient, which is naturally grown in Kangwon-do, a province famous for clean air and water.

The specialty of this restaurant is kungjung hanjongshik (traditional royal full course Korean meal) comprising kujolp'an (nine-sectioned dish), shinsollo (fancy stew cooked over charcoal at the table), and ttokp'an (assorted Korean rice cakes).
Kayarang does not take orders for entrees only, but you can add entrees--including songi yori (pine mushroom dishes), kalbi (broiled short ribs), and chonbok kui (broiled abalone)--to the kungjung hanjongshik.

The representative delicacy of this restaurant is k'alguksu, a dish of handmade noodles boiled in a beef broth made with leg bones and beef brisket, and ibukshik chopsi mandu, a dish of dumplings on a big dish after being prepared following recipies of nothern regions.
In addition, noktu pindaettok (mung bean pancakes with vegetables and strips of pork) and pugo tchim (smothered dry pollack) are another sources of pleasure.
Recommended are modum chon (assorted pancakes) and suyuk (boiled beef shank and brisket).
