On June 19, 1992, charges for direct-dialed long distance calls over 160km are reduced. As a result, calling charges for a 3-minute call during daytime hours (8:00 am - 7:00 pm) are reduced from 240 yen to 200 yen, and for night (7:00 pm - 11:00 pm) as well as weekend and holiday daytime from 140 yen to 120 yen. Late night - early morning rates (11:00 pm - 8:00 am) are reduced from 130 yen to 110 yen.
