Kakae-Ozutsu is a large matchlock rifle preserved in Fukuoka-han. The one in Akizuki is known as the arm-held cannon of The Hayashi School and has been handed down over several generations by the local inhabitants. The marksman wears a headband, sashiko (a quilted coat), hakama trousers, and leather breastplate, He ties the gun to his left arm with a bleached cloth. The traditional ritual for firing the gun is very impressive and has been designated as an intangible cultural asset of Amagi City.
