Because I like myself, I take a wonderful nightly walk along the park which my house backs on to. I enjoy the nighta air as it invigorates me physically and spiritually. I see the stars so far away an I wonder about EVERYTHING. Life is a beautiful experience given to us by SOMETHING that I can't name. I am having counselling for an abused childhood, and am showing great courage in what I am doing. Because I like myself, I take care of my self. Thankyou

I think everyone is rewarded each day simply by opening one's eyes and facing another day. But we must be good to ourselves for it is the torch by which we light our way. Look first up at the sky & say "thank you" & then look in the mirror & say "you can do it, you can face the world" Then do it!

I bought myself a t.v. to watch in bed. I try to concentrate on what is good and what is positive in other people - its so much more rewarding than looking for faults, it doesn't come to me as naturally as fault finding does, but I'm beginning to notice the effort of looking for the positive paying off. The more you see the positive in others, the more it seems to bounce off you. Its teaching me the lesson that happiness is the result of self-discipline. Self discipline and watching telly in bed. Congratulations on a lovely page! I hope you visit mine some day.

The desire of my hearth is to be good with myself so that I can be good to other human beeings. The joy of just being alive is such a great gift. It make me feel good to know that there are places on the Net to keep out the bad and multiply the good. I like to see human beings, agile, full of spirit; I enjoy meeting people that are genuine, and I feel man must remain linked to the land and to the other living things on the planet or he may lose his will to live, or at the very least, not be in touch with the kind of joy that causes a young lamb to gambol and kick up its heel in the meadows.

I surround myself with music, usually something that has piano and nature sounds in background. Hugs are always wonderful gifts that I can't get enough of. What I am practicing is being in the moment. I love being curious, touching hearts and remind ing people of their special uniqueness. Whenever I get a chance I take pictures, sculpt or create wonderful nap rituals! I am also coaching which hopefully feeds hearts and souls, rekindles hope, love and laughter in people's lives. When you give out l ove and show you care you get so much back in return. I am truly blessed!

I try to get outside and be with nature. . .it's very grounding to connect with the energies of the earth. I like to ride my horse, walk through the mountains or along the seashore. I feel the sun on my face, breathe the fresh air, and listen to the sounds of the birds, the wind, and the water. It takes me away and recharges my soul.

I read, I call someone on the phone, I cook. No, wait, I'm *learning* to cook, and so I'm experimenting. I walk -- I live in the neighborhood where F Scott Fitzgerald grew up, and there's lots of beautiful architecture and lovely old trees to enjoy. I'm not far from the Mississippi. I dance -- a lot -- and do jazzercise. Sometimes I wonder why all of this isn't helping more, but right now I'm willing to give it time.

I have met JESUS - the liveing son of GOD - and he has saved my life. He has given me "a new song" that I want to share with everyone. Jesus can restore your life, because he died on a cross for you - and GOD did rise him from the dead - and if you belive that and confess him as LORD. Then you will a son of GOD - and you will recive eternael life.

I hold my 5 year old son close as he wakes up in the morning and listen to his dreams and wonders. At some point he will look at me and say, "I love you Mommy". It is right then, every day, that I realize: his unconditional love, how beautiful childhood is, how happy it makes me to re-experience it through his eyes, and how I will always love being called MOMMY!

I take a wonder down to Bronte Creek, just a short way from my home. The water is clean and running quickly and if I am lucky, I may see one of my favourite birds, the Kingfisher. A striking flash of blue and a loud clattering sound he darts about the sand banks. If I don't see him and I'm honest, I'm slightly disappointed. But still, I have enjoyed the walk, the air and ths sounds. And there is always next Sunday. He'll be back & so will I.

In the early morning, after my shower, while having my cup of coffee, I strech and say "Ooohh Doggie" a fair degree louder than my wife and daughter would prefer. In the afternoon if I am feeling dragged out by the day I will imagine that I am James Brown on stage doing a bit of a jig while I scream (usually to myself)"Ooh! I feel good, dada dada dada da". Sometimes I just contemplate, in a rather empty headed (some might say meditative) way, whatever happens to be in my field of vision

I am trying to break myself of eating for consolation, so I am trying different things. I love exploring New Age stores, smelling the incense and flipping through books. I like talking to people and making them smile. Hugs are also precious. In fac t, that is the surest way to get out of a depressed mood (better than even Oreos!) When I am really in need, for example, when my husband is on a week-long business trip and I am stressed from work, I go to my friend Ron at Yesterday's Memories in Leesbu rg, VA, and get my palms read. The stroking of my hands and the smell of the incense fills my soul with light, and feeds my skin hunger. THANKS RON!!!!

When I need to show myself that I care, I buy myself a book. There is nothing quite as satisfying as prowling around Barnes and Noble for the perfect book that I can take home and get lost in. Reading takes me away. I do myself a favor when I peruse shelf after shelf of fantastic books, and come away with one or two that will nourish my soul. For me, this is a luxuriant treat.

Little things mean a lot: A friendly smile from someone, a handshake or a bit of attention are in and of themselves things that can make existence more meaningful. Despair is never the answer and the hope is always stronger. Every single human can c arry the message of this hope - simply by showing tolerance and kindness. It is possible to turn hopelessness into victory!

We forget to care for ourselves...and finally, we see how big our needs can become if we don't. Then, we tidy up, eat a small something, put clean sheets and pillowcases and a fresh bedspread in our tidy safe place. We take a shower, and sometimes after we take a bath. We clip nails, braid hair, and wear comfy jammies with socks. Then we pick up a good book, or art project, or even just a videotape--and snuggle in, as if it wer e our storytime and mommy just gave us our bath and tucked us in....Warm fuzzies with our teddies in crisp clean sheets with wet hair and snuggly covers are a gift.
