current status of park.org mirror sites
bullet bullet bullet bullet

hello all,

quick run down on the current status of mirroring park.org.

following is info on the sites we are currently planning on pushing data to:

mirror.adelaide.park.org [192.231.203.3]:

platform: SGI, running IRIX 5.3 httpd: ???? no login to check and the www server never responds...

mirror and www servers are not on the same host.

ftp ONLY access at this point. would it be possible to get a shell account setup? preferably using skey access?

mirror.amsterdam.park.org [192.16.199.192]:

platform: ??? httpd: ???

not yet operational.

mirror.imperial.park.org [193.63.255.1]:

platform: SS1000, running Solaris 2.4 httpd: Apache 1.0.0

i do not have permission to write to the /public/extra/park area. could you either change the owner to bb (since we can't currently login using the cm13 account since it has not been keyinit'd) or, preferably, change the directory to group expo96?

mirror.korea.park.org [202.30.64.1]:

platform: SS1000, running Solaris 2.4 httpd: NCSA 1.3

if at all possible, please upgrade to NCSA 1.4.2 or later. 1.3 has known security holes.

mirror.japan.park.org [133.246.8.20]:

platform: SS20, running Solaris 2.4 httpd: NCSA 1.5

if any of the above information is incorrect, corrections would be most welcome.

several requests:

0. would it be possible to have an expo96 account on all mirror servers for mirroring? japan and seoul already use this general account. if site policy prohibits this, no problem, but could you be sure that all of the fair related accounts are in the same group and that the park areas have group write permission?

1. could you pass on the http server/document root directories so we know where to actually place the mirrored files?

2. could i get point of contact info for each mirror site listed above? name and email address at least, with phone/fax #s appreciated.

i plan to start the actual mirroring on jan. 16. i just place the files in the expo account home directory until i have the document root information.

thanks,
