Dear Carl,

This was a hard week for work. There are two holidays in the middle of the week (6 and 8 of December) and many people profit to take more days for their own holidays.

I have the first pavilion:La Infopista / The Catalan Highway. Perhaps is the most original use of the Internet in Spain. La Infopista is a metaphor of a quarter, the Catalan quarter, with their streets. Netcitizens, Politics and Government, Society, Universities, Comunication, Culture and Language, Economy, Science and Education, Geography and Virtual Turism, Computers and Internet, Ressource Lists...have their place. Recently, La Infopista open a public place during the autonomous government elections to make questions directly to the candidates. "La Infopista / The Catalan Highway is a catalog of all Web ressources produced in the Catalan Countries --or elsewhere, provided they are related to Catalan culture. Ressources are offered in several languages, mostly in Catalan, but many in English, Spanish or French." Their URL=http://www.partal.com/infopista/ The people of La Infopista are preparing something like an statement of their participation in the fair. I will transmit to you next days.

The January issue of NET conexion is prepared. The cover theme: Internet 1996 World Exposition. Jointly appear a report on Internet in Spain (with the contribution, for example, of the responsible of RedIRIS, the Spanish network for Universities and Research). For the Expo, we open from this number to the year's end an e-mail section devoted to question people: What you want the information superhighway to bring to your home? The contest section is devoted to promote the Expo.

Have a nice week end!

Josep
