As you well know there are many parties in keeping the Edgar
service alive and accessible.
If the SEC is unwilling to do it (and they should consider it their responsibility) there may be some interested organizations that directly or indirectly support many of the Edgar filers.
For example, the National INvestor Relations Institute and the the Association of Investment Management and Research, just to name a few.
As a member of the former and someone who believes publically held companies should find ways to make information more easily accessible to investors I would certainly support the effort and contribute to it.
