Spring ( March ~ May )

Every corner of the country enjoys spring and its beauty through the distinctive and marvelous color. Korean spring embroiders fine wild flowers on every mountainside and field, Jindale, azeleas, and Ganali are the best representative flowers of the Korean spring. Every farmer begins their seedbeds and each school starts their entrance ceremonies.

Summer ( June ~ August )

Korea has a hot and humid summer. The heaviest rains or monsoon begin late June and end early July. Sometimes heavey rain brings natural disaster. But every farmer waits for the rains to enjoy a rich harvest. Every school and company has summer holidays from late July when the real hot and humid season starts. All corner of the mountains and beach has filled with a crowd of people trying to escape and ironically enjoy the summer heat.

Autumn ( September ~ November )

The Korean autumn is proud of its beautiful blue skies. This is the time for harvest. every farmer waits for the crops and fruits to mature. Every mountain and field is ablaze with autumnal tints. It is really, awfully beautiful. Many tourists came to visit Korea during autumn. This is an enjoyable time for many traditional folk festivals in Korea. For instance Chusock, the Korean thanksgiving day, is the most delightful celebration for Koreans.

Winter ( December ~ February )

Korea has a long, dry and cold winter that lasts for 3-4 months. Sometimes, snowfalls obstruct traffic on the mountain sides. The Korean winter is the farmer's slow season, as well as preparing time for the coming spring in order to sow new seeds. Koreans enjoy the winter season with its big festivals and celebrations. Sol, the first day of the first Lunar month, is the biggest folk festival in Korea.
