Ssirum

Ssirum is traditional Korea wrestling which has been , and still is very famous in Korea.
Actually, Ssirum was part of a village festival in the farming society. It occurred whenever they celebrated a harvest. The winner received a bull in most competitions. This man was called the "Matchless Warrior" or the "strongest man in the world".

Base ball

Korean base-ball began in 1982. Presently, we have 8 professional teams. Each team represents its own locality. During the weekend, the sport complex is filled with countless baseball fans.


Soccer

Korean professional soccer teams have not had a long history. Yet enthusiasm for football has driven the 2002 World Cup towards Korea.

Most Korean love to watch a football match. There are many football competitions throughout every corner of Korea. You could spend time watching some Korean football games. I'm sure that before you know it, you'll be screaming with the rest of the crowd.
