Gilt Bronze Sitting Maitreya
A work from the Three Kingdom era, this is exhibited in the National Museum. This Buddhist style was from India China. Most of the best sitting maitreyas are from the Three Kingdom period.

The lines of the sculpture are soft, gentle and natural.
The maitreya sits with its right knee bent on its left knee and with his right hand gently touching its cheek.

ÀÌ ¼®±¼¾Ï Áß¾Ó¿¡ ÀÚ¸®ÀâÀº ¼®°¡¿©·¡Á»óÀÇ ¼þ¾öÇÑ ´«±æÀº Ç×»ó ¸Ö¸® µ¿ÇعٴÙÀÇ ¼öÆò¼± ³Ê¸Ó ¸Õ ¿ÖÀûÀÇ ³ª¶ó¸¦ ¹Ù¶óº¸°í ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù. ´ëÀÚ´ëºñÇÏ¸ç ¿ø¸¸ÇÑ ´ëÀåºÎÇüÀÇ ¾ó±¼°ú ¾Æ¸§´ä°í ºÎµå·¯¿ì¸ç, ¿ÂÈ­ÇÑ ¾ó±¼À» ¸ðµÎ °¡Áö°í ÀÖ´Â º»Á¸ºÒÀº ½Å¶óÀÎÀÇ ¸ð½ÀÀÏ °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù.

Hwaumsa Pagoda

This is a work from the 9th century during the Unified Shilla period. The structure of this pagoda is a based on the three storied pagodas of the Unified shilla era.

On the top there are four tigers and in the middle there is a statue of a monk in prayer.

½Å¶ó½Ã´ëÀÇ Á¾À¸·Î ³ôÀÌ 167cmÀ̸ç, °­¿øµµ Æòⱺ »ó¿ø»ç¿¡ ¼ÒÀçÇÏ°í ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù. ½Å¶ó ¼º´ö¿Õ 24³â(725), ½Å¶óÀÇ ÁöÇý¿Í ¾Æ¸§´Ù¿òÀ» ¸ð¾Æ ÀÌ·é ÀÌ Á¾Àº Áö±Ý ³²¾Æ ÀÖ´Â ¿ì¸®³ª¶ó Á¾ Áß¿¡¼­ Á¶Çü»óÀ¸·Î °¡Àå ¾Æ¸§´ä°í ¿À·¡µÈ Á¾ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. Á¾ÀÇ ¾î±úºÎÅÍ Á¾±¸¿¡ À̸£´Â Á¾½ÅÀÇ ±ä °î¼±Àº Àº±ÙÇϸ鼭µµ Àü¾ÆÇÑ ±âÇ°À» º¸ÀÌ°í ÀÖ¾î ¼ÒÀ§ Çѱ¹ÀûÀÎ ¼±ÀÇ ¾Æ¸§´Ù¿î ±âÁ¶¸¦ º¸¿© ÁÖ°í ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù. ¿õ°ÇÇÑ Á¶°¢ÀÇ ¿ëƲÀÓÀ¸·Î Á¾ÀÇ ²ÀÁö¸¦ »ï¾ÒÀ¸¸ç ÀÌ ²ÀÁö¿¡ À̾ ¿ë´º¶ó°í ºÒ¸®´Â ÀûÁ¤ÇÑ ºñ·ÊÀÇ ÆÄÀÌÇÁ ÇüÀÇ Àå½ÄÀÌ ¼¼¿öÁ® ÀÖ¾î Áß±¹À̳ª ÀϺ»¿¡¼­ º¼ ¼ö ¾ø´Â ƯÀÌÇÑ ÀÇÀåÀ» ³ªÅ¸³»°í ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù. Á¾½ÅÀÇ Á߽ɺο¡´Â ¾î±ß¸Å°Ü¼­ Á־Ǻñõ»ó°ú ¿¬È­¹®À¸·Î µÈ ´çÁ¸¦ µÎ ±ºµ¥¾¿ ºÎÁ¶Çߴµ¥, ´çÁ´ Á¾À» ¿ï¸± ¶§ ´ç¸ñÀ¸·Î Ä¡´Â Àå¼Ò·Î ¸¶·ÃµÈ °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù.

Kumkwanchong Kumkwan

A golden crown from the Shilla period in the 5th and 6th century, this is exhibited in the National Museum in Kyungju.

Made by sewing thin gold plates with golden thread, there are ornaments dangling at the tips.


Baekchachulhwae Podo Vase

There were many kinds of jars made during the Chosun period. But the most noticed of all is the white porcelain jar with grapevine design. This work of pottery shows the characteristics of the works from the Chosun dynasty.
