Although the late 1980's in South Korea, ballads have been in fashion, in 1992 the trio "Taiji and Boys" apppeared and the ballad boom suddenly went down. And the dance music such as rap, hiphop, regue, house, and jungle are attracted great deal of attention. Today among those especially deephouse is in fashion. Also, the dance music with traditional Korean musics is the characterisitc of the recent Korean pops. This year (1996), in Korea prior council system is abolished. SO the Korean music world begins a step to freedom.
