This was a list of subscribers published when the telephone service was started. The number of subscribers was 155 in Tokyo and 42 in Yokohama; and it was not a book form but a simple list on a sheet of paper. Three or four times a month, subscribers were notified of new subscribers. Telephone charges were 40 yen in Tokyo and 35 yen in Yokohama annually, regardless of the frequency of calls.
