Concept
What Is The "Time Restorer"
Kaki Tree Project?
This is a joint performance consisting
of tree plantings thoughout the country, using second generation saplings
of kaki (persimmon) trees that experienced the Nagasaki atomic bombing.
The impressions and activities of the children and others who participate
in this project are understood as artistic expression, and the participants
themselves are seen as expressionists.
In celebration of those kaki trees which have now lived for ten years since
they were planted, artist and Action Committee member Tatsuo Miyashima
celebrates the activities to date with a digital counter, which he plans
to broadcast to society as his work, Time Restorer.
The operation and implementation of the project are carried out by "Time
Restorer", The Kaki Tree Action Committee, which is made up of members
brought together by the founder, Tatsuo Miyashima.
