STEFANIE DENZ Painter.Saltspring Island.

I use oil on built up surfaces of discarded, stressed wood and other building materials.Colour and lighting are important in the illusory quality of the image. The ageing surface creates a context for my vision which also has it's own time and place. The two must come together for better or worse.

I also do mixed media on paper and make photo cards and laser prints of original artworks.
