Re: We're Open

Not wishing to look as thick as a whale sandwich but can I confirm with you what I am supposed to get up and running for the Worlds Fair:

1) Switch from CERN to NCSA or Apache WWW server. This is needed to have per-pavillion cgi scripts. With CERN you can set a directory to be a script area but then everything in that directory must be a cgi script.

Complication: we have an active proxy community throughout the UK using the proxy capabilities of CERN. But since the proxy work is also done on port 80 I'll have to re-educate them to switch to the harvest cached service on port 3128. (Maybe do something clever with apache calling harvest?)

2) Install an SKEY system for the Park personal. BTW I notice that none of the following accounts has been used, are you just awaiting SKEY? bb:x:2996:131:Brad Burdick:/users/bb:/usr/local/bin/bash cs15:x:2997:131:Chris Swanson:/users/cs15:/usr/local/bin/bash cm13:x:753:131:Carl Malamud:/users/cm13:/usr/local/bin/bash

3) Arrange to mirror information from the central Park??? Some of the discussion on the park's mailing list suggests that the regional park's should already be doing this. Did I just miss something.

4) Work with any UK based pavillions on getting them setup here?

5) Any other buisness??

BTW I noticed on: http://park.org/UnitedKingdom/ That "Central Park, Imperial College" link points to the main IC WWW server (http://www.ic.ac.uk) and not to the one on SunSITE (http://sunsite.doc.ic.ac.uk)
