Hi -

As part of the closing of our Capitol Hill Studio and our donation of our National Press Building facilities to the University of Virginia, there will be a reduction in our multicast schedule. The World Radio Network VAT stream will go off the air on March 15 and the House and Senate feeds are already off. The Internet Town Hall broadcast of National Press Club luncheons may continue, but that decision is up to the new owners of town.hall.org.

The Internet Multicasting Service will continue as a corporate entity to administer programs such as the Internet Software Consortium which pays for projects such as the development and maintenance of BIND. We will, however, be ceasing all our day-to-day operations on April 1, the third anniversary of "going on the air."

Thanks for letting us chew up your spare bits for the last couple of year.

Carl Malamud
