Rice Rolled in Laver and Fried Bean Curd



The dish makes a nice snack for children. Also it is a choice lunch when going on a picnic.



Materials(makes for four) and Precooking


100g (0.2 pounds) Chinese cabbage kimchi
100g beef
4 small bowls cooked rice
4 sheets laver
8 cakes fried bean curds
a small amount of roasted sesame seeds, salt and sesame seed oil
a small amount of soy sauce, sugar and wine
@ flavorings
a small amount of soy sauce, sugar,
scallion,
garlic, roasted sesame seeds, sesame seed oils, pepper
cabbage kimchi clean the leaves of stuffing, squeeze to drain liquid, and mince.
beef mince and apply the flavorings, then roast in a pan.
rice boil and mix when its still hot with the roasted beef.
fried been curds press and spread with a rollering pin. dip it in boiling water for a short while and even out the irregular fringe with a knife.

  2. Metric values are approximated into pounds and inches, as they are not absolutes.

Cooking
  1. Hard-boil in the flavoring mixture of soy sauce, sugar and wine.
  2. Mince cabbage kimchi and mix with sugar and roasted sesame seeds.
  3. Place a sheet of lightly roasted laver. Spread cooked rice on laver and add the kimchi and flavorings mixture on top of it. Roll.
  4. Mix cooked rice with the kimchi and flavorings mixture. Stuff in in fried bean curd.
  5. Cut the rice rolls into pieces that are 2cm (about 3/4 inch) long. Serve on a plate, or pack in a lunch box to take out to picnic.
