Naadam Festival, the Battleground of Modern Heroes

This summer festival is the biggest event of the year. It is held on the great plain. This festival originated from the Ovoo-Worship Festival, a festival to pray for rain. Religious factors were swept after the revolution and gradually took on its present form.

The Naadam is the national athletic festival of Mongolia and held in the various aimag (provinces) and sum (counties). The Naadam in Ulaan Baatar is held on National Day (July 11 to 13) and wrestling, horse racing by children, and archery competition is held for 3 days.

The events are surely worthy of a nomadic race.
