Where Did You Learn Japanese?! It didn't take long for Konishiki to become familiar with the Japanese culture and the sumo world due to his quick understanding of things. Even if he was tired after the practice and after eating chanko (sumo wrestler's stew) he had to take Japanese lessons. He quickly learned to speak Japanese and todays speaks it fluently like a native Japanese. |
A Frog About to be Eaten by a Snake Konishiki is of Polynesian origin and is therefore more fierce. Once on the dohyo (sumo ring), he witty smile is gone and he turns into a mean warrior. Once stared at by Konishiki, the other sumo wrestlers are like frogs stared at by a snake. |
