What's special about living in Kyoto?
As it's difficult to get around by car, there are a lot of bicycles. I think it's interesting how, despite the fact that the cyclists do not know each other, all the bicycles become as one. Also, as there are many areas accessible only by foot or bicycle, I enjoy cycling around exploring the many beautiful places.

For you, what is Kyoto?
I have admired Kyoto for as long as I can remember. I feel as if I could spend my whole life here and still not find enough time to see everything I would like to. There are as many wonderful places as there are mountains, if I could I would live in Kyoto forever.

Your favorite places in Kyoto?
The Takasegawa, the Kamogawa, the temples, my home
The express train that takes me to Umeda
The inexpensive supermarkets, the Kyoto University of Art and Design
