WIN Kiosk fascia picture

Points of note:

This kiosk has an footrest-well at the base, which could be set further back depending on internal components used.

It would be possible to lean / hang a cane or walking stick on the 'handles' at the ends of the blue shelf (there is a gap between them and the white uprights).

Although there is high contrast of the fascia to the main body (blue on white), Card slots and receipt printer location could be higher contrast.

It is understood from the manufacturers that vertical grab bars may be placed either side of the fascia on the white uprights to aid support.

There is a horizontal braille-plate on the right-hand side of the shelf area. It duplicates a message on the printed sign above the screen. The braille-plate states that alternative formats of the information on the kiosk are available elsewhere, and gives contact information.

There is a telephone-type handset with a two-button volume control on it (see below).

Points of note:

This is an unusual design of kiosk in that it looks to be an information point as well - with the high display boards in the center. The shelf area is above the screen and set back - while it is good to have a shelf area it could be problematic for some users with movement difficulties to utilize it.
