West Lake, north-west of Hanoi, also known as the Lake of Mist, the Lake of Golden Buffalo Calf & the Big Lake,is the largest lake of Hanoi with an area of 500 hectares.The Lake was once ringed with magnificent places & pavilions. These were destroyed in the course of various feudal wars. The circumference of West Lake is 12 km.
