  Cu Chi,a district in the suburb of Ho Chi Minh City, lies between 2 tributary rivers Saigon and Vam Co Dong. Its total area is 43,000 ha. It is located at the threshold of Saigon city and adjacent to the revolutionary base. That position made Cu Chi play a very important role in the two resistance wars of the Vietnamese. It is an "underground village" with a labyrynth of interlaced tunnel totalling more than 200 km in length.
