Being 90 km north-west of Hanoi, it is the bound between Vinh Phu & Bac Thai Province. There are 3 summits of Tam Dao Mountain, all about 1400 metres in height. The summit in the middle is Thach Ban. The left summit is Thien Thi. A television station with the height of 93 metres is on Thien Thi summit. The right summit is Phu Nghia. The Tam Dao area is particularly rich in flora and fauna and the weather here is refreshing.
