Quan Thanh Pagoda is on the shore of Truc Bach Lake near the intersection of Thanh Nien Str and Quan Thanh Str. The Pagoda, shaded by huge trees, was established during the Ly Dynasty (ruled 1010 to 1028). The Pagoda was dedicated to Tran Vu (God of North) whose symbols of power are the tortoise and the snake. A bronze statue and bell here date from 1677.
