• Discription: The Temple,founded in the 18th century,is on an island in the northen part of Hoan Kiem Lake.Surrounded by water & shaded by trees,it is a delightful quiet place to rest. It is dedicated to scholar Van Xuong and General Tran Hung Dao Ngoc Son Temple is reached via a wooden The Huc(Rising Sun) bridge, painted red which was constructed in 1885. To the left of the gate stands an obelick whose top is shapped like a paintbrush to the sky, so its name is But Thap.
