The Pagoda is 33 km north of Hai Duong Town and 4 km south of Pha Lai. It is dedicated to Hung Dao Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan who defeated Mongol invaders 3 times in the mid-1280s. The Pagoda was founded around the year 1300. There are 9 mountains arround it. The Pagoda stands against the middle mountain and faces to Thuong River. On the right of the Pagoda is a 8-sided shaped tomb which is believed to be Tran Quoc Tuan Grave.
