REf:ON THE MATTER Of MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT IMPORTED fOR JOINT - VENTURE ENTERPRISES.

Pursuant to:

- The official letter No 2220/KTN on 15th May 1993

- The note No 4205/DK on 1st August 1994

On the exemption of materials, equipment under PSC as well as technical documents from import duties, the general Department of customs requires:

1. The customs Departments of cities and provinces shall, under the above-mentioned notes (2220/TKN, 4205/DK), the paper No 2295/TC/TCT dated 9th September 1994 of Ministry of finance, the official letter No 825/TCHQ-PC dated 28th July 1994 of General Dep artment of customs supplemented to the Circular No 10/TCHQ-PC dated 15th June 1993 on the favored status for foreign investors implement rightly the taxation Law and policies of the Government.

2. In case of any problem arise or any action against regulations stipulated in the said papers, the customs Departments of cities and provinces shall be responsible to send a report on the matter to the General Department of Customs for an on time decisi on.
