NOTIFICATION
ON ADDITIONAL RATE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PRICE
STABILIZING fUND TOWARD CRUDE CASHEWNUT fOR EXPORT

• Pursuant to the Decision No 01/CP dated 5 January, 1993 of the Government providing tasks, powers and organization of the Price Commission of the Government.

• Pursuant to the Decision No 151/TTg dated 12 April, 1994 of the Prime Minister on the formation, use and management of the price stabilizing fund.

• Pursuant to the guiding opinion of the Prime Minister stated in the official document No 1740/KTTH dated 6 April, 1994 of the Office of the Government.

• On proposals of the People's Committees of some provinces which grow cashew and have establishments for processing cashewnut.

• To create favorable conditions for different businesses to purchase crude cashewnut for processing cashewnut kernel for export.

• Having consulted with the Ministries of finance, Trade, Agriculture and food Industry.

THE HEAD Of THE GOVERNMENT PRICE COMMITTEE NOTIFIES

• 1) To apply an additional rate for putting into price stabilizing fund toward crude cahsewnut for export (not yet undergone processing stage) which is equal to 4 percent over real export price at the Vietnamese ports (fOB price) including no freight and insurance from the exported port to imported countries.

• 2) Any Vietnamese economic organizations of all economic sectors which have already been permitted to trade in export and import crude cashewnut shall be liable to pay for an additional sum in accordance with this notification and with regulations on the payment to export duty.

  Cashewnut exported for producing specimen, advertising and participating in exhibition fairs shall be beyond the additional sphere of this notification.

• 3) People's Committees of the provinces shall be liable to guide the business under their authority to purchase all quantity of cashewnut from the population in accordance with market price, ensuring that purchasing price shall not be lower than minimum p rice of 5,500-6,000 VND/kg of crude cashewnut.

  Any monopolization in forcing price when purchasing cahsewnut from the population shall be prohibited. All provinces where exist processing establishments shall manage to purchase all available quantity of cashewnut from the population and organize the pr ocessing of cashewnut kernel for export.

• 4) This notification shall be of full force and applicable to the quantity of crude cashewnut for export whenever notification of the customs Authority concerning the payment of export and import duties, and at the same time notification concerning the pa yment of additional rate to be paid from 0 hour of 20 April, 1994 were made known.
