Care of the elderly, nurturing of the young and services for the handicapped are deeply concerned by the government of the Repubic of China in social welfare program. Recently, in order to implement social wefare service efficiently, we also engage to promote community development. At present, the nurturing of young children is handled under the Child Welfare Law. We have amended the regulations of the nursery establishment, establishment, compiled the nursery pamphlets, drawn up the "Main Points for Training Nursery Worker" and the rule of the child foster family care in accordance with the "Bylaws for Child Welfare." To promote the caring quality, a lot of quality day care center is under construction. The government also provide financial aides or grants to improve facilities and on job training, in addition, a sophisticated channelis formed which parents can trust when they are working.
