Taiwan Cycas Nature Preserve

This preserve has been established to protect a large stand of Taiwan Cycas (Cycas taiwaniana), a palm tree-like gymnosperm that is among the oldest plant species in the world. These trees, intolerant of shade, grow in sunny areas along either bank of the Lu Yeh Stream.
