Chatienshan Nature Preserve






Chatienshan Nature Preserve is a coniferous mountain forest. Among the various cypresses, hemlocks, and pines, is the hugered Chinese cypress. The forest odes have some hardwoods, and among them is the rare deciduous Taiwan beech. Chatienshan Nature Preserve also is home to a few of Taiwan's rare animal species, including the Formosan black bear.
