Carved bamboo wrist-rest with bamboo motif

Ch'ing dynasty (A.D. 1644 191 I) Length: 14.8 cm Width: 4.4 cm

This piece is rectangular, with a curved back and divided into two vertical sections. On the surface is carved in relief a spray of bamboo leaves and a poem in four-syllable verses, followed by the carver's name (Chung-yin-pan-shan) and two carved seal-impressions.
