Polychrome porcelain censer

Ch'ing dynasty, K'ang-hsi period (A.D. 1662-1722)
Height: 24.6 cm Depth of lower section: 7.0 cm Mouth diameter, tower section: 23.4 cm
Base diameter: 19.4 cm

This vessel comprises of three sections, and was used for burning or containing incense. The upper two sections are ornamented with k'uei-dragon motif in openwork design. The colors are not brilliant, but rather matte, lending this piece a soft elegance.
