NCB launches Singapore Pavilion on Internet

THE Singapore Pavilion, a pavilion in cyberspace to showcase all things Singaporean, goes on-line on the Internet today.

It is organised by the National Computer Board and is part of Singapore's participation in the Internet 1996 World Exposition, a year-long global event centred around the Internet. The Internet is a global collection of computer networks connecting over 30 million users.

The pavilion consists of many Web sites and home pages, or electronic bulletin boards, on the World Wide Web.

NCB said yesterday at the launch of the Singapore Pavilion that the event would allow Singapore to introduce its lifestyle, culture, history and heritage to Internet users around the world.

The pavilion can be located at http://expo.net.sg. Those with proposals for Web pages can e-mail to expo-admin@www.sg.
