considered appropriate subjects for a
mola. Even a calendar (below), a coin, or
a spaceship (top row, left)
can provide design inspiration.
The classic image of the
"Indian Head", above, depicts a North
American plains war bonnet, and therefore probably
was adapted from a U.S. Mint nickel, not from Cuna
tradition.
