4. Participation medal, memorial medal, official poster

(1) Participation medal, memorial medal

 These are given to the athletes and people who have been 
cooperating in the Hiroshima National Athletic Meeting

[M a k e r] Kazuma Ooshita (metal sculptor)
[Intention] This is supposed to express that the Hiroshima 
            pledge for international peace, represented by 
            the dove, through this meeting held at the 
            Inland sea of Japan with its abundant natural 
            beauty is also entrusted to the zeal for sports 
            of each runner. The medal was designed for the 
            sports festival in Hiroshima and also to create 
            a long lasting impression of the  Hiroshima 
            National Athletic Meeting.


(2) Official Poster

This is used for PR activities related to the Hiroshima National Athletic Meeting and has been designed to promote the enthusiasm for the meeting.

 [M a k e r] Tsutomo Hasegawa (graphic designer)
             Born 1950 in Takehara.
             He lives now in Hiroshima.
 [Intention] The illustration was created to show
             "gratefulness for life" in the athletes
             future orientated activities and finished 
             to give the impression of "powerful 
             endeavors".
             The water of swimming and the wind on the 
             land are drawn with pastel colors to 
             express a feeling of speed and energy.
