3. Formal disciplines, public disciplines, explanation of sport events



Formal competitions

Formal competitions during the Hiroshima National Athletic Meeting include during the summer meeting 5 events (3 cities, 1 town), and 3 events during the autumn meeting (13 cities, 22 town, 2 villages). Thus, a total or 36 events will be held.
The total score from each of these formal competitions will be used for the overall scores in matches among the urban and rural prefectures.

Public competitions

During the autumn meeting public competitions will be simultaneous with the formal competitions (2 events). One of the public events will be sports art. That is an art born out of the abundance of the natural and ethnic resources of Hiroshima Prefecture. It serves not only the purpose of introducing the local culture within the prefecture and the whole country, but it also provides stimuli for new and further developments of the prefectural culture through exchange of art and culture.
The scores of the public events do not count in the overall rating.

Sports events

During the Hiroshima National Athletic Meeting competitions beside the formal and public ones will be held among the prefectural towns and villages. Eleven town and village will participate in these sports events (5 events) held in form of a demonstration.
These sports events give everyone living in the prefecture the chance to participate in the National Athletic Meeting
