Located to serve as a base (starting point) for visiting parks and famous spot in western
Chugoku like the Sandan-kyo, the area comprises approximately 400 ha, of which the fir forest
covers 110 ha of the western end of the area. This area allows both families with children
as well as groups of young friends to enjoy themselves.
The central facilities include an auto camping place, an athletic course and a "flowing
playground" with a fountain. There is also a small museum displaying materials pertaining
to the history of the mountains and villages. Thus, there are many ways visitors can spend
a pleasant day here.
