Ima-Koyasan
The eastern half of the Sera district, located approximately in the center of the prefecture, are said to have been developed since Koubou-Daishi founded the Koyasan Ryou Otasho and Ima-Koyasan temples in 822. There are many remnant of the once vast temple complex and the Koyasan Ryoso Park still spreads an atmosphere of medieval prosperity.
