Senkouji Park
When you get off Onomichi station and turn around standing in front of that station, you will see a high mountain. This is the Senkojizan (mountain of the Senko temple). The park of the Senko temple extends from its peak halfway down the mountain side. In spring 10,000 cherry trees and 4,000 camellia trees flower in this park. Within the park are the Municipal Museum and the Senkoji Gallery. On the mountain peak is an observation tower from which you overlook Onomichi city and the Inland sea of Japan with its many islands.
