The colorful beauty and grandeur of this scene make the spot
to one of the few similar places in Japan you can count with
one hand. It has been designated as one of Japan's most outstanding
special scenic spots.
A canyon cutting deep through the primeval forest, with walls of
stone soaring on both sides 40 m high, waterfalls, rapids and ravines,
this river provides a continuous grand natural scenery that has very
few equivalents.
In particular Kurobuchi, Sarutobi, Nidan-Taki, Sandan-Taki and
Mitsu-Taki with their overwhelming beauty are called Japan's 5
grandiose scenes.
