Black sea bream

This fish, known under the name "Chino" is frequently seen along the coast of the Inland sea of Japan and often eaten in the regions west of Kansai. It is a favorite fish for fishing among sports fishers.
In Hiroshima approximately 30% of all young black sea breams in Japan are released, amounting to about 2 million young fish. In 1993 the catch of 637 tons was approximately 17% of the nations share.
