INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION OFFERED BY HIROSHIMA
-ESTABLISHMENT OF HICARE-
HICARE Emblem
HICARE, or the Hiroshima International Council for Medical Care of the Radiation-Exposed,
aims to share with the people of the world who are involved with medical care of the
radiation-exposed, Hiroshima's accumulated medical expertise of such care and results
of investigative research. This council was started in 1991 with the joint investment of
Hiroshima Prefecture and Hiroshima City, and with the co-operation of relevant institutions
in the prefecture, such as Hiroshima University and Radiation Effects Research Foundation.
