Establishment of bases for internationalization


Hiroshima International Center Foundation

This was established as a facility to promote international exchange on the private level and as an international center. Here foreign newspapers and magazines are provided for perusal and there are information and a consultation corners and an exchange hall.

Hiroshima International Cooperation Center (temporary name)

This is a general facility for international personnel education supporting the internationalization of the prefectural population and the activities of the grass root contributions to international affairs, while at the same time providing a place for contributions by the people of developing countries using the characteristics of this prefecture.
Simultaneously, the JICA as a core facility has been established to accept trainees of Japanese technologies.


Location : Kagamiyama 3-Chome in Hiroshima (within the Central Hiroshima Science Park)
Facilities : administration,
training section,
lodging facilities,
gym,
lounge etc. (some of these facilities are shared with the JICA)

Organization schedule: 1995-1996 construction and preparation of the facilities
Scheduled opening: April 1997

Contents of the activities:
training of international personnel....Japanese language and culture training courses,
training projects for foreign technicians,
research projects related to internationalization

Support of NGO activities etc..........training related to the grass roots contribution
to international affairs

Gathering and provision of
international information .............sending information through the Internet,
furnishing of libraries etc.

Other, provision of seminar rooms and lodgings for related organizations, exchange,
conduction of events.

Japanese language and culture training
international training courses for foreign technicians and related supporting activities.
